Gujjar Logistics, a growing name in the UK logistics sector, is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Birmingham. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the financial health of our fast-paced logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and invoicing

Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial reporting

Handle payroll and HMRC submissions

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and industry-specific accounting standards
-
Work closely with the operations team to monitor logistics costs and improve financial efficiency

Support external audits and liaise with external accountants when required
Requirements:
-
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within a logistics or transport company

Solid understanding of accounting principles, VAT, and UK tax laws
-
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication skills
-
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA or CIMA certification is a plus)
